I literally just received this today and immediately began vacuuming.I have two dogs that shed A LOT and I spend an absurd amount of time vacuuming. My low-end Miele (the least expensive of the canisters) and its attachments do great on everything except fabric – big pillows, couches, the dog beds, etc. I mean the attachments that came with the C1 do far better than any vacuum I’ve had before the Miele, but even so, vacuuming the above listed things was super time consuming and a lot of pet fur remained no matter what. This thing is AMAZING. I was hesitant after reading the reviews, but figured I could surely maintain a light enough touch to keep the brushes spinning and the better clean, I figured, would be worth it.Well, a few things.1) The suction on my Miele is always set at maximum, and I change the bag when it’s full (sounds obvious, but the first time the bag in my C1 filled up and suction began to fail, I thought the vacuum was broken. Then I realized the bag was full to bursting, and obviously, when I changed it, the vacuum worked again). I bring this up because the brushes on this turbo brush are propelled by suction, so if your suction is inadequate due to a low suction setting or bag that’s full, your brushes might not be spinning as vigorously as they should be, and the turbo brush may be less effective. I’m wondering if this is the issue many reviewers are having.2) Many negative reviews state that the brushes stop spinning when any pressure is applied. At no point, regardless of the pressure I applied, did the brushes stop spinning. I don’t know if Miele changed the product in response to complaints or if others having issues have full bags/suction set too low, but I had zero issues. I tried to press down enough to stop the brushes spinning and couldn’t. UPDATE: With more usage I noticed the problem of brushes stopping with pressure. It was because the brushes had accumulated threads and hair wrapped around them, and once cut away, the turbo brush functions normally without the brushes stopping in response to pressure.3) This attachment did WELL in 20 minutes what would previously have required at least 90 minutes to do poorly. I vacuumed the dog beds, rugs, my bed (yes, I do that, because the dogs sleep with me and I can’t wash my sheets daily), and my couch in under 20 minutes when in the past it would have taken me an hour and a half.I LOVE this thing. If you have dogs, get this – it’s an amazing weapon in the war against fur/dander/dirt!

This is perfect for the stairs and areas that the regular attachment doesn’t fit like between the nightstand and the bed. It works great for the car as well.

People seem to either love this or hate it. I am definitely a lover of the Miele STB101 Mini Turbo Brush. Here’s 4 reasons why: four cats. The lazy indoor-only kind that sleep all day on soft things. I can tell my black cat’s favorite soft surface du jour by the breadth and depth of the black fur he leaves behind. This mini turbo brush removes EVERY cat hair in just a few swipes in both directions. I have several cream-colored blankets he has adopted and I thought they could never be cleaned. Machine washing and drying never extracts the fur enough, and I can use an entire lint brush (the kind with sticky paper) before and after washing and still see fur. With the turbo brush, I can remove all visible hair easily, then can wash the blanket. Some people don’t like the brush because it is air-generated and can seize up at times without its own machine drive mechanism. I do encounter this, but after many uses, I find this happens on some surfaces more than others. If I just use a light touch, adjust the suction, and/or move the brush in the opposite direction, no problems at all. The Turbobrush work best when there is air behind the item being vacuumed. For instance, if I lift up a bedspread to vacuum it – as opposed to keeping it flat on the bed – I never have problems with the mechanism seizing up.Just be very careful handling this attachment while in use. Don’t get your hands, clothing, or hair too close to the brush. I thought this warning was pretty silly when I saw it in the instructions, but as I use the brush more and more, I can see that I do often bring the attachment close to my body as I navigate about with it. Definitely, make sure you engage or disengage it with the machine OFF.This brush picks cat hair (even embedded ones) off soft blankets and upholstery like no other vacuum attachment I have ever used. I am so glad I paid extra for this attachment for my Miele Neptune.

We have two huskies and after they ride in the truck with us, the amount of hair on the seat covers is crazzzzyyy! One pass with this and it all sucks right up! Must have when you have heavy shedders!

This Miele Turbobrush works like magic to remove matted cat hair from furniture! It attached perfectly to my Miele Soft Carpet canister vacuum hose. It has a swivel joint to allow the brush to swivel about an inch either way around the axis of the hose end. I used the highest power on my Miele vacuum and once the turbobrush is up to full speed it’s whining like a jet engine! It’s not loud but it sounds powerful. It effectively and quickly removed gobs of cat hair from several pieces of furniture without hesitating. I have not tried it on pile carpet and will likely only use it on furniture fabric. For this purpose it is perfect. I wish I would’ve bought this years ago! If you have a pet that likes to lay on your furniture I highly recommend buying this Turbobrush for your Miele vacuum!

I’ve been contemplating purchasing this for 3 years and finally took the plunge and so glad that I did. I have a dog with a double coat that sheds constantly and I’ve been struggling to vac his hair off of his microfiber sofa blanket and pillows with the brush attachments that came with my Miele vac. While the brushes do work, this power head works so much easier and requires much less effort!! It’s much larger than I anticipated because I also have a similar power head ( turbo pet paw) for my Eureka Mighty Mite that I use for my garage and vehicles and it’s much smaller and not nearly as nice. This attachment feels solid and well-made relative to so many cheesy products made today. Some folks complained that it doesn’t spin when they place it against a surface but like any of these turbo hand held vacs, you must make sure you don’t press down too hard. Control the weight and let the brushes do the work by lightly placing it on the surface. This vacs my pillows, dog blanket and other furniture very well and it’s so easy to use. It may even fit my Mighty Mite though not sure at this time. I highly recommend this for anyone who needs to vac stairs, furniture or other upholstery. I’m sure you could also use this around the legs of furniture or other tight places.

I like my Miele Olympus, which I’ve had for about five months. I have had to haul out the old Panasonic upright to do the staircase because the power brush I opted for to tackle pet hair problem cannot be used on my stairs. The reason is that the attachment turns off when it snaps to its upright or resting position. Even were this not the case, the size and weight of the powerbrush in itself makes it unsuitable for regular old stairs with bannisters.Customers with more modern stairs — wide, long, and perhaps with no handrailings on the sides would possibly find little or not trouble with the power brush on stairs. I can’t say, though I have tried to picture how this would work. I am too right-brained to say, I aguess.Mind you, I am not trashing the power brush attachment: I love mine for it power to clean, its six settings for minimum to maximum suction, with pictographs indicating which to use on curtains, throw rugs, and so on; and also for how it lies flat to get under furniture and beds. But this mini turbo attachment is what you need for stairs. Its size also makes it ideal for upholstery, and it has a special feature those with extra-bad pet hair problems note — if blankets or comforters still have pet hair “woven” into them even after laundering, the mini turbo will ferret it out. – one reviewer uses it before washing these items.I’ve just used it a couple of times, so don’t have any other useful info to impart as to durability, etc. I’m just sorry I balked at $71 — this item is more than worth its price. This seller sent it right out – it seemed I got it almost the next day. No tax or shipping either!

I was worried when I bought this that it wouldn’t work very well as it is powered solely by the force of the suction created by the vacuum – this was reflected by some of the reviews. After using it for the first time, I can say that this attachment EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS! It will definitely not work if you have a heavy hand and really try to dig into the surface, it’ll stop the beater bar from rotating altogether. However, if you use a soft touch and allow the bristles to do the work, it works marvelously. We have three dogs and it was always a task getting the couch clean, taking up to an hour to get all the hair off. With this attachment, I was done in 10 minutes. I highly recommend this product.

I added this purchase to my C3 Alize along with the full-size turbo-brush. This brush does wonders on my steps. I only recently switched from a Dyson upright to a cannister vac. With the Dyson I had to pull the hose, along with the big wand, all the way from the bottom or top of the steps. With the cannister I can just set it on the step in front of me and work up one step at a time. Much easier. The mini-turbo, with the suction at the highest setting, really generates some nice RPMs with the brushes and seems to deliver a deeper clean in my lower pile carpeted stairs than just the AirTeQ that tries to suck the dirt through the carpet fibers. I like that the nozzle area that actually faces the carpet is made of a flexible plastic and rotates so the nozzle does not always have to be held at an exact angle to maintain suction… there is some “wiggle room” that the nozzle design accomodates. The nozzle seems thick and durable, has an easy-to-open hatch to clean out the turbine fins and the roller has a groove that looks like it should be easy to use to razor-blade through hair to clean the roller. Probably the only design element I wish this mini-tubo had was some sort of quick-release on the roller for cleaning… so while this tool is extremely good, it is not perfection.
