We had to go to a motel due to mold/odor issues leaking through the walls from another apt unit – they had left town with food in the frig and forgot to pay their utility bill. Their electricity had been shut off and the bad odor was the first alert the manager had that there was a problem. The mgt carried out the frig closed and disposed of it and then proceeded to clean that apt…but the odor was still in between the walls. After 10 days (we left to live in motel) of the apt mgt using chemicals to kill/mask the odor in our apt and requiring us to leave windows open with air on to increase air and this did not do the trick…we ordered this unit due to it taking care of bacteria, mold, mildew, fungus AND it stating that it permeated into the walls (our problem). We ran it on low for 24 hours as the manual stated to do and then set it for the size of our apt unit and the odors were gone the next day after that! Our place has never smelled this great! Definitely would recommend it. A bit pricey, but saved us from having to move to a new place when we really didn’t want to which would have cost us ALOT more time and money.The management kept doing more of the same thing and it just kept giving the same bad results.We decided to do something different and to purchase this unit and got REALLY GOOD RESULTS.

I’ve owned tons of air purifiers both of the ionic type and just regular hepa filter types. None even come close to the GT3000!. This product is built to last, aesthetically pleasing and simple to use. I’m a Chiropractic student in Georgia right now and currently live in a 800sqft apartment and with our philosophy of health and well being this product is a perfect match! I remember going to my Aunt’s house years ago and she had a similar unit in her home. I would always wonder why it smelled so FRESH and CLEAN in her home. Now i realize she had a similar product that cleans NO purifies the air completely. The smell is that of that unmistakable fresh smell just after a thunderstorm is the best way i can describe it.I’ve also been suffering with chronic dry itchy and red eyes and after only 3 days of running the GT3000 those symptoms are completely gone! Unbelievable, that chronic allergy problem was getting on my last nerve and I gladly would of paid $1000 to get rid of it. When I have company come over they walk in and I can see them immediately take a huge whiff of air and sigh and say “what is that amazingly fresh smell”? And of course then we have a discussion about the GT3000 and they are amazed that this small little unit on top of my fridge is responsible.Thank you so much to thegreengiraffe.com for you amazing customer service and thank you to Green-tech for a solid product!

Keeps the air in our home really fresh. Really does remove odors. We have one on each level of our large three level home, we run them on a lower setting. We have four cats and a dog – but people don’t know that unless we tell them! Running on high or away mode will generate an ozone smell while super-cleaning the air, but we don’t use that very often, and the ozone smell doesn’t last long once a lower setting is used.

Its amazing how this one little box is helping to keep my asthma under control throughout the house. I now sleep like the dead no waking up at all hours of the night coughing and wheezing. Someone reviewed that it was bad for asthma. I wish I could let them use mine for a week so they could see how its really supposed to work. I know what its like to wake up clawing for air like evil elves were under your bed waiting to put a pillow on your face. This machnie is my evil elf slayer. Like I said -it works well.

I have 2 boxers and 3 rottweilers and this air purifier does the job perfectly. After researching air purifiers I decided on this one even though some of the reviews complained about the smell. After turning this purifier on I smelled the odor that some people complained about, but then I read the owners manual and followed the directions. It works perfectly! I would definitely recommend this purifier to anyone.

I had the Flair air purifyer. I loved it, but they are no longerin production. So, I went to the GT3000. It is so easy to use andVERY QUIET. That was important to me. It does not have strong smelllike the flair did. I love it. It’s expensive, so I just hope it holdsup for the price.

After some use it did not seem to clean very much, by the diminishing “clean” smell it creates. I think my error was touching the metal on the photocatalytic oxidation plate. I called the company and got a new plate, while it’s still under the 1-year warranty.

i did not want to pay this much money for an air purifier. However, i was wrong and this purifier is worth it. If you put it in a smoker’s room or a car or whatever you will be shocked at how well it works.

The GT3000 is a great air purifier for large homes or small offices. Some people are writing poor reviews because they simply did not read the manual or do not know how this machine is intended to work. I would like to write this review so more people can understand it’s intended use. The GT3000 has two basic modes of operation. Firstly is the basic purifier mode, in which the manual explicitly states the unit must be configured to the correct square footage for the room(s) it is purifying. In this mode, there is a PCO cell that will kill most airborne pathogens as they pass through the filter itself. Additonally, the PCO cell breaks down Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and toxic gases into safer molecules. The simple dust filter within the unit is always working and helps to remove fine dust and large particles although it should not be used for bulk dust and particle removal.The other mode this unit has is called “away mode” and that is very important to this air purifier’s safe operation. When in “away mode”, you will immediately notice a powerful and odd smell coming from the purifier. This smell is Ozone. Ozone is a chemical deemed by the EPA to be dangerous to the health of humans or animals when inhaled. As such, the purifier should only be used in “Away Mode” when no animal or person is occupying the space in which it is purifying. Ozone is especially harmful to those who suffer from asthma or other lung conditions. Do not use this machine in this mode if the space it is used in cannot be unoccupied. The machine allows you to set a timer for away mode, so if there is a known period of time where no one will be in the area, you can run the machine for a short period automatically. Which will allow Ozone in the air to dissipate before you return.With all of that said, Ozone is effective at eliminating difficult odors in some spaces. Ozone will change the molecules of bad smells to a different kind of molecule with less of an offensive smell. When this machine is used properly, it is very effective at making spaces smell better and cleaner. Highly recommend! Just read the manual!

100% Satisfied. I purchased my unit at the home and garden show, I did not realize that POC and ARC were the same setting so I ended up running back up to the show thinking I had a defective unit. The gentleman that was there (Brett Tabor, brother of the CEO) was attentive to my concerns and explain the settings to me, he also stated that he would have a tech call me Monday if I had any other concerns or questions. Within 1 hour of me leaving the show, I receive a call from the CEO Scott Tabor. Scott walked me through all the settings and was also attentive to all my concerns. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.As far as the unit itself, I have asthma, but love my pets. For years It was hard for me to breathe correctly, due to the asthma and my allergies. By day 2, I was able to breathe in my house. I didn’t smell the dogs or the cat liter. My house now has a crisp, clean smell to it. This air purifier is amazing. I highly recommend to everyone. I have tried various other units for other mfg and they do not compare to this unit. Thank you
