See my before and after pictures. Use this to restore the black leather on a very worn and faded messenger bag my husband had been using for work for many years but was now collecting dust in the closet. I applied two coats with the provided sponge, allowing bag to dry thoroughly for a day or two in between. It already look amazing after one coat, but felt like going that extra bit just to be sure. With the round sponge I had to be careful around the edges that abutted the cloth lining of the interior. I did get some of this product on the lining in a few places, but mostly came out with a damp cloth. Still I recommend being very careful at the edges or finding something smaller and with a finer point to apply at any similar edges you might have. Once dry the black coating/ dye doesn’t rub off to the touch, however I haven’t gotten it very wet yet, so I would be cautious in this regard, and if it’s something that might get wet maybe testing a little bit out before going out in the rain (especially wearing white clothes- the instructions also mention this I recall). Great product, well worth the price! Gave new life to a very sad, forgotten, but still loved bag!

I have used this product on both leather and vinyl couches, bags and shoes to cover wear and scratches. It is a thick liquid that doesn’t run and covers most imperfections with just one coat. It dries to a natural sheen that doesn’t rub off and it made all my items look new again.

I bought an Ecru Cuyana tote from Poshmark for a steal, cleaned it inside and out, let it dry for about 3 days, then applied the cream color, let it dry overnight, did a second coat, let dry overnight, then did the topcoat from this brand and let it dry for 3 days. It looks like new! It’s my daily bag and after a couple months of use, it has held up superbly. Marks wipe off without removing the finish and the surface is soft and flexible. Excellent product! I bought this product in the dark brown color. When it first arrived, I cleaned the couch and applied it to the worn areas and was amazed how easy it was to use and how good it looked. A little goes a long way (I bought 4 oz and have at least 3 oz left.) However, the color was a little too milk chocolate for my darker sofa, so I ordered a small jar of black to mix together. The process was a little tricky because the color looks lighter when it is wet, so hard to gauge how much to add. After a bit of trial and error I got a finish that looks perfect. It dried quickly. After 3 days I will apply the top coat to seal it, but no color seems to run once it is dry. Of course I don’t know how long it will last, but the sofa looks like new right now.

The dye from my dark blue jeans rubbed off on my Marc Jacob’s the tote bag. Most of the dye cleaned off except when I was cleaning the dye, I ended up rubbing off too much and it stripped away the paint in the bag. I bought beige and ivory and mixed them together. Within about 5 minutes, I got the perfect shade and was able to restore the little parts of the bag that had worn off. My purse is currently drying off so we shall see in 72 hours what happens. I’m hopeful that the bag is good as new because that’s what it looks like at the moment!

So every time my seatbelt was pulled it left dark marks on the cloth along the edge of the Driver’s seat. I used rubbing alcohol/cotton to clean it up first. Then spent 2 1/2 hrs. taping up the edges around the spot that needed painting knowing that any movement might affect the placement of the painters tape. Then my husband came along and decided to “show me” that it would be easier if the seat was positioned forward and moved the seat! After vowing to strangle him, (I didn’t, although I imagined it), I just put the car away and decided it would be better to continue working on it the next day. The next day I re-taped and throughly made sure the base & back of the seat was protected from spills. I even moved the seat forward as my husband had done. I couldn’t believe it! The paint that looked like flesh colored pudding never dripped. The rubber applicator worked great and the paint went on smoothly. My BMW Z4 now looked terrific.

I ordered this for an older leather set we have. The set itself was solid but had spots where the leather faded. I purchased the darkest brown available. It spread on very easily and covered a good size of both couches. Dry time was minimal. To better match the color I may order black and blend it because the couches were darker brown than what was available. Not a huge issue for us since it’s in the kids play area. I’m really pleased with the product overall and would buy it again.

I have a SaK purse I love. It is 4 years old and still in great condition except the color (black) was fading and had grey worn spots. I tried shoe polish and it lasted a week before it started to fade again. I tried Leather hero and my purse looks brand new. I could sell it on line as a new purse, it looks that good. I will be getting more for some of my other purses and furniture. Great product.
