A very versatile accessory for getting at high shelves and especially ceiling fans. I’ve been using a Miele upright vacuum cleaner for the last 15 years and regret not finding this tool earlier. Would have saved much labor versus climbing a stepladder to wipe down those surfaces. Based on my prior experience with Miele brush tools, I expect this to easily last 10 years if not longer.

I bought this item with the intent of using it on ceiling fans and bookcases or other areas where I wanted to use a brush but wanted a larger size than the smaller one that comes with the vacuum.First of all – let me say that I was a little hesitant based on the many reviews saying how poorly designed this is and how sensitive the brush head is – the slightest touch and it moves out of position.After receiving mine – this brush head goes into many positions and has enough stiffness that it stays in position you put it in – see the photos I’m attaching. After using it I do understand peoples concerns – it would be great if it had a small locking pin of some kind – but it is more just adjusting how you use it and how much pressure you use – I think because it is a larger item it can move out of position at time. Interestingly the Miele website specifically says this item is for ‘gentle cleaning of sensitive surfaces’ – although it doesn’t say that on the Amazon page.

I was very concerned about all the reviews saying that the brush would not holds its shape while you cleaned your ceiling fan. This problem has been fixed. It now acts like the small brush you get with your unit, it clicks into place and stays there. The first thing I did was to turn the angled-throat pieces to see how loose they were. I first thought it wouldn’t turn. I gripped it a little harder and then it gave way and turned, a notch at a time. It now works GREAT and definitely stays in the shape you configure. As far as cleaning, because the opening is three times larger than the size of the small brush, you will have to increase the suction on your machine a little. I only use the lowest speed with my small brush.

We have a ceiling fan above our bed in the master bedroom. Cleaning it has always been a major hassle. We would have to lay a drop cloth on top of the bed to collect all the dust as we cleaned the ceiling fan. This attachment articulates in so many ways it allows us to clean the top of the ceiling fan blades and the fan itself, the bottom of the blades and the edges. All without a ladder! Best of all, the drop cloth on the bed was unnecessary.What used to takes us 45 minutes is now done in under 10!

Yet another nice accessory for my Miele Limited Edition C3. Yes, it is annoying that you have to purchase most of the really useful attachments separately, and no, they don’t come cheap. However, my experience informs me that you get what you pay for. I’m planning on having my Miele for many years, so the price per year of all of this stuff is not that great. Another thing I’ve noticed is that there is nothing that compares to having the correct tool for the job. It can actually make doing chores a pleasure. The Universal brush can cover large surfaces, such as walls and ceilings. I used it for the top of ceiling fan blades as well. I’m sure there are other things I could use it to clean that I haven’t even thought of yet. Therefore, that makes the cost worth it.

Wanted additional attachments for an older stick Miele vacuum. Ordered three from Amazon and two are perfect fits for our small condo! Great find and works well with our older product!

I purchased this brush as well as a generic basic round dust brush because brush that came with Miele was junk. This universal brush is long and covers more surface in one stroke. I was swiping shelves, baseboards, walls, etc. that before I knew it, I was done dusting. Very satisfied with this Miele universal brush.

Works great. This brush will fit nicely around furniture. Does a great job on stairs.The only problem i m having with the miele is the electrical part for the power head. Tiles hard wood. No problem
